Man dies mysteriously after slashing 8

A man slashed eight people before collapsing to the ground and died this morning in suburban Pudong New Area. Local TV news said the 29-year-old man was believed to be a drug addict.
Police are now investigating the incident which happened around 6am when the man's car had an accident on Nanlu Road.
Witnesses said the man came out of his car and slashed eight people with a knife, one of them was perhaps his girlfriend, according to the TV report.
After stabbing his girlfriend and seven passers-by, the man fell to the ground suddenly and died on the spot, the witnesses said.
The injured were sent to the hospital for treatment, the report said.
