Man held for molesting girl

AN unmarried, unemployed man was held for molesting a girl on Tuesday, local police said yesterday. The suspect, surnamed Chen, 52, lived in the same community as the girl, police said. The girl's grandmother called police about 7pm on Tuesday.
"My six-year-old said it hurt when she urinated," said the woman who runs a small store inside a community in Putuo District. She did not pay attention until the girl complained again. The girl later told her grandmother that her private parts had been touched by a man. The girl said the man, who lived alone, was a frequent customer to the store. "It's him," the girl pointed at Chen when she was accompanied by the parents to identify several suspects brought by the police.
