Man jumps in front of Metro
A LOCAL native was in critical condition after he jumped onto the Metro tracks at Jing'an Temple Station about 1pm yesterday.
An east-bound train applied the emergency brake after receiving a message from Metro staff but still struck the man. The Metro operator said police investigations suggest the man, aged about 20, tried to commit suicide after an argument with his girlfriend. The Metro train resumed work at 1:13pm.
