Man kills 2, injures 4 in family carnage

A Shanghai man reportedly killed his wife and father-in-law and injured four other relatives in a family dispute last night in the city's Minhang District.
Minhang police said the man, surnamed Li, had drinks with friends before going home last night and quarreled with his family members. He attacked them fatally with a kitchen knife and attempted suicide.
He was detained by police while his wife and father-in-law died on the way to the hospital.
The wife of Li's brother-in-law and his two-year-old nephew were among the injured. The woman, who was nine-month pregnant, had a surgery to deliver the baby early this morning and is now receiving treatment at the Minhang District Central Hospital.
