Man takes suicide leap off building

A MAN committed suicide by jumping off a high-rise building yesterday after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death, police said.
The incident happened about 7pm at Cosco Brilliant City on Zhongtan Road when the daughter of the man, surnamed Yang, came home after kindergarten with an ayi and saw the woman, surnamed Ma, lying in a pool of blood, police said.
Yang stabbed the woman with a table knife, police said. He then jumped from his 13th floor apartment, in front of his daughter, officers added.
Neighbors said Yang was divorced and had a daughter with his ex-wife, according to Xinmin.cn. The daughter attends Xiaohongfan kindergarten, where Ma worked as a teacher.
Yang and Ma were living together, neighbors said.
Police said they are still investigating the case.
