Man took photos up skirts on Metro escalators

A man has been detained for illegally taking indecent photos of a woman on the escalator at Metro Line 4 yesterday afternoon, said police.
A woman was on escalator to leave the Tangqiao Station at about 1:05pm yesterday when she suddenly felt her skirt being lifted. She turned back and found a man using a mobile phone to snap pictures of her underpants, police said.
When he was spotted, the man apologized and tried to escape. But the woman grabbed him and called police.
There are several other similar pictures in the man's cell phone that had been taken recently.
He will receive administrative detention as punishment, officials said.
Police asked women to be aware of their surroundings.
