LOVEBIRDS who plan to tie the knot on the Valentine's Day may feel disappointed because marriage registration centers across the city will be closed that day.
This year's Valentine's Day coincides with the Spring Festival holiday and the city's civil affairs agencies will not be working from Saturday to February 15.
The Valentine's Day is deemed as a good day to draw marriage certificates. Some 2,800 couples in Shanghai said "I do" on February 14, 2012, compared with a daily average of 400.
