Mayor to visit Taiwan

SHANGHAI Mayor Han Zheng flies to Taiwan next Tuesday on a four-day visit to promote the Shanghai World Expo, a city spokesman said yesterday.
Han will be joined by a local government delegation team and will seek to further cooperation in various fields between Shanghai and Taiwan, the spokesman said.
Han has accepted an invitation from his Taipei counterpart, Hau Lung-bin. Included on the agenda is a Shanghai-Taipei city forum.
The delegation team will hold talks with representatives from different communities and business fields in Taiwan.
They'll visit schools, hospitals and environmental protection and urban construction facilities.
