Metro molester detained, victim urged to show up

A suspect who allegedly touched a woman's leg on Metro Line 9 on Monday has been detained, announced Shanghai Metro police today.
And police also urged the victim to show up to testify.
The alleged molester fondled the woman wearing shorts and sitting next to him on Metro Line 9 on Tuesday.
When the woman stood up to avoid him, the man also left the seat to stand by her side. The incident was pictured by an angry fellow rider nearby who later posted them online. The witness said the woman had been persuaded to alarm police but she was too shy to report the incident.
The widespread photos and witness account soon caused police attention and led to a crime probe.
