Metro tunnel work to affect road traffic

CONSTRUCTION work will begin tomorrow on a transfer tunnel on downtown Shaanxi Road S. that will link together Metro stations on Line 1, 10 and the planned Line 12.
The almost 100-meter-long tunnel is expected to be completed in February next year. Passengers will not need to get out of stations to transfer to the other Metro lines. A lane for vehicles and part of a pedestrian road will be closed during the construction that will start from midnight tomorrow. Traffic around the busy commercial area is likely to be affected.
