Mobile carts to serve food to Lujiazui white collars

OFFICE workers in the Lujiazui central business district will no longer need to worry about their meals when mobile food carts begin to roam the area and bring them breakfast and snacks, local authorities said yesterday.
A total 12 food carts will be deployed in the area. It will take white collars only five minutes to get to the carts, said the Lujiazui CBD Management Committee, which oversees the service.
The carts will make two rounds of service a day, from 7:30 to 9:30 in the morning and from 5pm to 10pm in the evening, according to the committee.
The breakfast service will gradually be extended to more than 30 office skyscrapers in Lujiazui with fast food and deserts also available, said the committee, adding that three fast food chains, including East Dawning, a brand under KFC, are expected to operate the mobile food carts.
