A local pregnant woman wanted an abortion after reading online that winter, when pollution often is higher, is not an ideal time for the early development of a fetus.
But there is no evidence to support what the woman read - that a fetus passing its first three months in winter has a higher chance of having a disability, doctors said.
The woman listened to doctors and changed her mind.
Doctors said it is much more important for fetal health that the mother avoid cigarette smoke, alcohol and radiation.
