THE Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in Shanghai has added a foreignlanguage service to its 95588 official telephone banking hotline.
Languages available include German, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Portuguese. Customers can complete nearly all routine banking transactions using the hotline, including credit card services as well as investments.
Once a foreigner calls, an interpreter speaking his language can mediate in discussions with the bank clerk to help complete the transactions.
