LIU Zhangqing, a Zhejiang Province native, was jailed for seven and a half years at the Nanhui District People's Court yesterday for attempting to kill his ex-wife and her boyfriend.
The court heard that he had planned to kill them and his son and daughter, and later commit suicide. His ex-wife Li and her boyfriend Zhu were only slightly injured when Liu attacked them with scissors.
