Naked newborn girl dead after teen mom allegedly dumps her outdoors after giving birth

A naked newborn girl was found dead in the greenery belts of a residential complex in local Nicheng Town in Pudong on Monday morning, police said.
The girl's mother allegedly is a 17-year-old girl, surnamed Li. She has been sent to a local hospital for treatment, police said. She suffered severe bleeding after giving birth to the baby.
Police said she gave birth to the baby in her rented flat and then dumped the newborn.
A passer-by from the neighborhood called the police around 7am after spotting the baby.
Police said investigation is underway.
