No casualties reported in Qingpu factory fire

A fire swept through a chemical factory in the city's suburban Qingpu District at noon today, local fire department said. No casualties have been reported so far.
Black smoke engulfed the factory and the blaze also damaged part of a wood processing factory next door.
Firefighters said the chemical factory produced xylene, a highly inflammable substance. But the cause of the fire is still unknown.
