Norway resumes stamps service
THE Norway Pavilion is to resume its stamping service today but with each visitor allowed a maximum of five Expo passports.
"People love stamping because it's a cherished memory that can remind them of this exciting experience during the Expo when they get back home," said Arild Blixrud, Commissioner General of the Norway Pavilion. "It's an Expo tradition and we understand that the Chinese are crazy about it, so we decided to reopen the service."
The pavilion closed the service earlier last month because of the security problems.
"We saw some visitors carry a dozen passports and when they were rejected, they just shouted abuse and even wanted to fight with our staff," said Espen Guterud, the pavilion director.
Guterud said that order and good security were the most important thing. "If such things happen again this time, we will have a break and stop the stamping service for an hour or two," he said.
