One-stop service to encourage new bosses

OVERSEAS professionals starting their own business in the Pudong New Area now have a one-stop service center for registration and consultation.
The service compound, which covers 24,000 square meters in Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park, opened to the public yesterday.
Pudong International Talent City contains a hotel along with office buildings for start-ups and government agencies to help with business applications.
Professionals can meet banks, venture capitalists and private equity firms at the center to get financing.
The center has also invited overseas Chinese associations and global headhunting companies to move in to make it easier for start-up companies to find skilled employees.
The center, at 1300 Keyuan Road, will organize lectures and parties in the public square from time to time to improve communication between companies and professionals.
Expats are welcome to start their own companies or look for suitable jobs via the center, officials said. But most services are in Chinese.
