Parks vie for visitors with flower shows

THE city has entered the season of blooms and blossoms and many city parks are holding flower shows.
In the Chenshan Botanic Garden, an orchid exhibition will take place form March 29 to April 22, displaying about 50,000 orchids in 1,000 varieties from 14 countries and regions.
The Binjiang Forest Park will host an azalea show from April 19 to May 5, while the Century Park is displaying pear blossoms, magnolia flowers and cherry blossoms.
There are more than 30 flower shows in the city before June.
