Pianist Maksim Mrvica in town to attend Music China exhibition

Celebrated pianist Maksim Mrvica attended the ongoing Music China and performed for local audiences today at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
Mrvica, image ambassador of Yamaha electronic keyboard instrument was also invited as a special guest to the Yamaha electronic keyboard contest.
The competition opens to young players at all levels. They can upload their video clips of playing for early elimination. The final will be held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, next June.
Mrvica, 40, started to learn piano at the age of 26. In his 20s, Mrvica won many international awards and released his first album "Piano Player."
The artist, who has been to Shanghai for a couple of times said that he loves Shanghai.
"Shanghai is one of my favorite cities," he added.
He also told local people that music is a simple language and the best gift for the next generation.
Music China, a grand exhibition of top-notch musical instruments from all over the world will run till Saturday.
