THE Fifth China Shanghai International Piano Competition will open tonight with the Grand Opening Concert at Shanghai Oriental Art Center.
Famous pianists, including Tigran Alikhanov, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Song Siheng and Xie Jingxian, will collaborate with the Shanghai Sinfonietta and Shanghai Ensemble in tonight's performance. Twenty-four competitors will compete in this year's event.
