Police capture 11 suspects in Putuo shooting case

SHANGHAI police have caught 11 suspects involved in yesterday's shooting in Putuo District by wee hours this morning. One of the two people shot during the incident died in Huadong Hospital at about 10:40am this morning, the hospital said today.
Police confiscated four home-made guns, one knife and two vehicles involved in the case.
Two suspects were caught at 6pm in Shanghai's Long-distance Bus Station in Zhabei District. Others were caught later in Caobao Rd., Dushi Rd in Minhang District and Rongle Road E. in Songjiang District.
The police said that the shooting was caused by debt dispute. Quarrels on debt dispute broke into fights and then someone fired the shots, police said.
