Police catch murder suspect

A MAN was detained for allegedly killing another man who he suspected was having an affair with his wife, city police said yesterday.
The suspect, surnamed Zhang, was caught about 12 hours after Thursday's killing, police said. The body of the victim, surnamed Tao, was found in a power switch room by a cleaner on the fifth floor of a residential building in Hongkou District. Tao lived alone on the fifth floor as his wife and daughter are overseas, police said. Officers said Zhang told them he was angry after he found out his wife was intimate with Tao and he wanted to get revenge. Tao was stabbed to death and later placed in the power switch room, police said.
