Police invite single women to date their bachelor officers

TWENTY single women have been invited by Shanghai police to spend the Valentine's Day with their bachelor officers in a charity event this afternoon.
The 20 women and 20 policemen will be paired by the Minhang District Public Security Bureau as temporary couples and they will visit orphans in a Minhang school. These "couples" will form families with the orphans and play games together.
Police said the event was designed to bring warmth to the orphans and create dating opportunities for their officers.
The bureau sent out the invitation via its official microblog last Friday and more than 100 women have applied to participate in the event.
