Police nabs necklace robbers

CITY police today said that two men have been detained for allegedly robbing a golden necklace from a woman in downtown Putuo District.
The middle-aged victim, surnamed Chen, met the suspects at a ballroom in Putuo in June, police said.
However after Chen was taken to a hotel room the duo tied her up with duct tape and threatened her.
They finally took her necklace away at knife point.
The necklace was soon after sold for about 20,000 yuan (US$3,150), police said.
Officers said one of the suspects is an ex-convict who was released in May.
