Pop singer sues over punishment

HU Yanbin, a local pop singer, has sued in Jing'an District People's Court against a punishment made by the district traffic police.
Hu drove a car that collided with a taxi on June 25 last year and left the scene. The district traffic police decided Hu bore full responsibility for the accident and should be detained for seven days and fined 500 yuan (US$73). Hu refused to accept the punishment and wants it withdrawn. Hu said he had been forgiven by the victim after compensating.
