Popular pancake shop now limits buyers to 2 pieces

THE highly popular Ada scallion pancake shop has reopened at a new address on Yongjia Road, Xuhui District. As the queue is getting longer, the shop owner Wu Gencun, nicknamed Ada, decided to limit each buyer to two pancakes at a time. Previously, one could buy as many as 10 pancakes.
Wu makes 300 pancakes a day. Each batch takes about 15 minutes to cook. He gets up at 3:30am every morning to prepare pancakes and opens his shop at 6:30am when a long queue already forms outside. He closes the shop around 3:40pm after the day’s portion of pancakes is sold out.
