CONSTRUCTION began yesterday on the Norway Pavilion for Expo 2010. The 3,000-square-meter pavilion will be made of wood and bamboo and 15 structures in the shape of trees will support it.
The country will share its experiences in resources and environmentally friendly energy uses under the theme, "Norway, Powered by Nature."
"Most Norwegian cities are close to the sea, forests or mountains and the pavilion will highlight how we invite nature into our cities and use it to improve our quality of life," said a spokesman.
