SHANGHAI airport police said they seized a man who tried to break through a condoned-off area in the Pudong International Airport last night.
The suspect, surnamed Yuan, was caught in the airport's Terminal 1 building after he was found trying to climb over barriers towards the international departure area, the police said.
The 22-year-old man did not have a passport and claimed he was trying to board his private jet.
Police found he had been detained briefly for thefts in Dongguan in southern Guangdong Province early this month. Investigation is still ongoing.
