Pudong apartment hit by mysterious gunshots
A high-rise apartment in Pudong is believed to have been shot by a gun yesterday but the incident caused no casualty, Shanghai East Radio reported today.
The 12th-floor apartment in the Greenland William Residences was hit by two gunshots at about 10am yesterday, a woman in the house told the media.
She was not injured but two window panes were broken. Police figured the shooter fired the bullets from a position above the 10th floor of an opposite building.
"I was sitting there over a computer when I heard a gunshot at about 10 o'clock. Then I smelled gunpowder in the room," the woman said.
About 30 minutes later, the second bullet penetrated her window. "It must be an intentional attack. Otherwise, you can't explain why only my windows were shot," she said.
The frightened woman alarmed the police immediately. No further details are available as police are still investigating.
