Pudong culture and art festival closes with success

THE Pudong Festival of Culture and Art will close with a symphonic concert tonight at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center.
Over the past 3 months, the festival has offered more than 600 public cultural and art events in Pudong. These events have attracted a big number of people including foreign expats, young white-collar workers and local families of the suburb areas.
Among the events are art exhibitions, piano and dancing concert, film exhibition, as well as performances from jazz to symphony, poem recitations to pop.
In addition to theaters, performers of different stage arts have been invited to perform at the residential communities in Pudong and give lectures on art. The festival has also had extensive participation and support from local social groups and professional institutions.
