Rapist jailed for attacks on teenager

A MIDDLE-AGED man has been jailed for 10 years and two months for raping a girl who was 13 at the time.
The victim, surnamed Wang, gave birth to a baby girl in January 2010 when she was only 14. Her parents knew nothing about the rape and pregnancy until the baby's birth because the victim didn't dare to tell them.
One night in April 2009 while Wang was doing homework at home with her brother, the man, who was a neighbor, knocked at the door and asked to watch TV in her home since he was bored and lonely.
Because the man, 42, of a similar age to Wang's parents and visited them frequently, the girl let him in.
A few days later, the man visited Wang's home again when she was at home by herself. The man lied that he had brought some special delicacies from his hometown in Henan Province and invited the girl to his home to have a taste. The girl agreed and as soon as she came through the door, the man forced her into a bedroom and raped her.
Four months later the man stopped Wang on her way home after school and forced her into his home where he raped her again.
The girl felt sick in the following days and found herself getting fatter, but she still didn't dare to tell her parents.
On January 7, 2010 while she was at home alone, the girl felt extreme pain in her stomach and was sent to hospital by a neighbor where she gave birth to a baby girl.
The man was arrested several months later and because his crime led to the victim giving birth to a baby, he was severely punished by the Qingpu District People's Court.
