Research center aims to promote innovation and startups in city

A research center was established yesterday to promote innovation and startups in the city.

The Shanghai Entrepreneurship Research Center will invite experts from home and abroad to conduct studies about business startups in the city and serve as a think tank for local authorities.

This year, it will carry out a research on local government’s policies of supporting business startups, work out an entrepreneurial guidance service system and study the situation of business startups among local residents.

It will also invite successful entrepreneurs and capital investors to give lectures and carry out activities regularly to help potential entrepreneurs connect with startup service facilities and financial agencies.

The center was jointly set up by Shanghai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Bank of Shanghai.
