SHANGHAI Center for Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring said it received 599 reports of suspected adverse reactions from medical appliances last year, 67.43 percent more than 2008.
There were 26 deaths related to suspect adverse reactions to medical equipment last year, including 13 blood vessel stents, five heart pacemakers, five brain stents and three cases related to other equipment.
