WORKERS were repairing a sunken section of Tiantong Road in Hongkou District yesterday after a Weibo user posted a photo of a cavity in the road at 8:40am. Road workers arrived at about 11am and began to dig up the road at the intersection with Sichuan Road N. The road was undermined by a leaking water pipe that eroded earth underneath the road.
