Rush-hour collision injures 8 bus passengers
EIGHT bus passengers were injured when their shuttle bus was hit by a car on an elevated highway in Shanghai this morning.
Witnesses said the bus first hit a lamp post, then skidded sideway blocking the lanes. A car behind failed to brake in time and smashed into the rear end of the bus.
Eight people on the bus suffered injuries, traffic police said. But no one was injured in the car.
Police said the shuttle bus belongs to a company and was carrying about 40 people when the accident happened.
Traffic was restored after the two vehicles were towed away about 9:15am.
