Salon owner held for death
THE owner of a beauty salon where a 42-year-old woman died of electric shock while receiving a weight-losing treatment on Tuesday was detained, police said yesterday.
Authorities said the salon at 127 Yanji Road W. did not have the license to use the machine that had a power leak and killed the woman. The incident happened around 11am when the victim surnamed Zhang was using a machine to burn fat through electric vibration. However, the machine had a power leak and Zhang was electrocuted. One of the staff members of the salon was also detained.
