Science museum shows giant sea creatures
SIXTY-FOUR specimens of ocean vertebrates will be exhibited this Sunday in the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum.
Named "Spirit of the Ocean," the exhibition will present some endangered species, including a whale shark, a pregnant finless dolphin and a pregnant grey reef shark.
All these specimens were made of animals that were found dead, either killed by ship propellers or fishing nets or by pollution, the museum officials said.
Star attractions will be a five-meter-long whale shark, the largest shark and fish in the ocean, and a giant manta ray whose wings stretch for nine meters wide.
