THE ex-wife of a thief who stole more than 700,000 yuan (US$102,380) worth cash and jewelry was sentenced to two years in prison with a probation period of three years yesterday for hiding illegal income.
The woman, surnamed Chen, still lived with the thief, Xu Xuexi, after they divorced. After Xu was caught, Chen moved the stolen goods still in their possession out of their home. Xu was previously sentenced to 11 years.
