Shanghai A Cappella Festival to start this summer

THE 2017 Shanghai A Cappella Festival will kick off this summer and present music lovers a week of interactive programs.
The festival will run from July 24 to 30 at Shanghai Mass Art Center. A series of events will be held, including a nationwide contest, master class, concert and children's classes.
Popular A Cappella bands from all over the country will participate in a competition. They will also join training camps to improve their skills.
Famous American pop band "The House Jacks" will be invited to perform their representative A Cappella versions of songs and exchange with local bands.
A Cappella, an art form of singing without the support of musical instruments, is believed to have the magic of connecting people from varied cultural backgrounds. Ever since 2011, the festival has cultivated a number of enthusiasts in the city.
Earlier this year, the Shanghai A Cappella Alliance was set up to support the music genre. Celebrated artists of the world will be invited to give workshops and performances.
