Shanghai Forum to explore growth strategies for Asia
THE 2012 Shanghai Forum hosted by Fudan University will open tomorrow with a gathering of hundreds of government officials, entrepreneurs and scholars from home and abroad.
The three-day forum will have a number of high-profile speakers including Zhu Min, deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, and Long Yongtu, secretary-general of Boao Forum for Asia. Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng is expected to speak at the opening ceremony.
This year's theme is "Economic Globalization and the Choice of Asia -- Strategies for 2011-2020." This is the seventh year of the forum which focuses on the development of Asia.
