Shanghai innovation center aids small tech firms

ABOUT 97 percent of local enterprises are small and even micro-sized firms with little access to good financial products. To help them, the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center is holding a month-long service promotion that began today.
The center will help small technology firms obtain funds to commercialize their inventions and turn their new technologies into productivity.
The center will hold 180 lectures and consulting sessions in local communities, companies and universities, said the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission that runs the center.
