Shanghai police assistant stabbed to death, two others severely injured

POLICE have caught a man who allegedly stabbed a police assistant to death and injured two others early this morning in Shanghai's Pudong New Area, Eastday.com reported.

Some police officers and police assistants were suspicious of the man at midnight in Zhuqiao Industrial Zone and approached him to ask some questions.

However the suspect took out a knife suddenly and stabbed at three police assistants shortly after midnight, the report said.

A police assistant surnamed Zhang, 30, died at the scene and the other two were severely injured, according to the report.
