Shenhua appeals Sun decision
SUN Ji, a former player of the national soccer team, recently won a labor arbitration to get 748,000 yuan (US$115,611) in delayed payment from his erstwhile employer, Shanghai Shenhua Football Club. Shenhua has appealed against the decision. Sun said he had signed two contracts with Shenhua in 2008 and 2009. One contract with low salary was fictitious and the other with high salary was the real one which was with Shenhua. Sun got the high payment of about 1 million yuan in 2008 but he was not paid in 2009. The Pudong New Area Labor Arbitration Committee accepted Sun's position on the two contracts and ruled he should get 748,000 yuan in delayed payment.
