Sheshan summer carnival season starts

THE Shanghai Happy Valley in Songjiang District will host about 60 performances including samba and tap dances by about 100 domestic and overseas performers every day this summer as part of its carnival which kicks off today.
Float parade and unmanned aerial vehicle stunt performances will also be featured during the 65-day carnival.
The event is part of the Sheshan summer carnival season, which includes music performances and food festival at the Playa Maya water park, night tours at the Chenshan Botanical Garden and a bronze sculpture art exhibition at the Yuehu Sculpture Park.
