Ship slams into river bank on the Bund

A 400-ton vacant tank ship rammed into the bank on the Bund early Saturday morning, causing no injuries but damages to the flood-control wall and some landscape lights.
The accident took place about 5am, according to xinmin.cn.
The vessel reportedly ran into the bank near downtown Zhongshan Road E1 on the Bund.
Landscape lighting facilities were damaged but the guardrails along the promenade remained intact.
It's suspected that the accident was blamed on improper driving while an investigation has been launched by maritime authority, it's reported.
