Source of dyed oranges found

LOCAL market watchdogs say they have established that the dyed oranges sold in a local market originated from Jiangxi Province. But officials are now testing the oranges to confirm the composition of the coloring.
The Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau seized hundreds of kilograms of dyed oranges at the Yangnan Wholesale Market in the Pudong New Area over the weekend. Some sellers colored the oranges to make them look fresher, but the dye is likely to seep into the flesh. Officials said they have not found colored oranges in any local retail market.
