Spotlight to hit Expo show
VISITORS to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo will enjoy a multi-media show entitled "The Window of the City," an official said today.
A collaboration between Shanghai Media Group and Taipei Arts International Association, the show will be performed three to four times a day during Expo.
"With more than 650 performances in total, it will be one of the biggest shows of the Expo," said Xue Peijian, president of Shanghai Media and Entertainment Group.
According to Serina Chen, director of Taipei Arts International Association, the creative work on the musical drama is still underway. They will also invite leading Western theater troupes such as Spain's La Fura dels Baus to perform in the show.
"The show will be a touching story about colorful urban life," said Chen. "High technology will be blended with traditional performing arts to explain the Expo theme 'Better City, Better Life'."
