SHANGHAI police said yesterday that they are hunting a killer who murdered the owner of a grocery store on Sunday night in the suburbs of the Pudong New Area. The victim, a 69-year-old woman surnamed Ma, was found lying in a pool of blood in front of her grocery store in Lane 5122 Chuansha Road shortly before 10pm and was later pronounced dead after an ambulance arrived. Ma had been heard crying for help but when neighbors arrived the elderly woman was already dying.
