Student dies after 12-floor plunge

A HIGH school student found dead at the foot of a 12-floor residential building yesterday morning may have committed suicide due to exam pressures, it is claimed.
The body of the 18-year-old was discovered in Minhang District about 7am.
Residents doing morning exercises outside Building No. 11 at Xinmei Plaza, Humin Road, found the young man's naked body lying in a pool of blood.
Emergency services said he had been dead for several hours.
Police covered the body and cordoned off the area.
People at the scene said the young man was a high school student and may have committed suicide due to pressure at school.
Police said he had plunged to his death from the top of the nearby building.
The man's family were unaware of the tragedy until residents broke the news to them.
The incident was still under investigation, police said.
